Keystone Lithotripsy began providing lithotripsy services to patients at its Willow Grove outpatient location in 1987. Five years later, Keystone introduced brand new technology, mobile lithotripsy. Mobile lithotripsy offered the same non-invasive procedure as the fixed site with the same highly perfected technology. The added benefit of the new mobile option was the fact that the patient could have the procedure done at a medical facility located close to home.
Keystone continued to offer patients and their physicians innovative technology by upgrading of equipment to the newest in lithotripters, the Dornier Compact Delta. The mobile unit is transported to the hospital, surgicenter or outpatient facility when a patient needs the procedure. With the new mobile unit, physicians use state-of-the-art equipment for their patient's treatment. And patients have the added peace of mind of knowing that their own urologist, along with the Keystone lithotripsy technologist, will perform the procedure - close to their home and family.
